About the Therapist
Rosalind McNamara holds a Master’s degree in Counselling and approaches her work through a relational and psychodynamic framework. Her clinical training emphasised the importance of a secure therapeutic container, which she has transitioned into the natural setting of Callan Park. This nature-based model combines evidence-informed therapeutic dialogue with the somatic benefits of movement, allowing for a deeper level of cognitive clarity and emotional integration than often found in traditional office settings.
Rosalind’s practice is rooted in the belief that psychological resilience is built through intentional connection—to oneself, to the clinical work, and to the environment. She specialises in supporting individuals through complex life transitions and relational challenges, providing a professional and compassionate presence. By conducting sessions amidst the bushland paths and harbour views of Rozelle, she fosters an environment that naturally supports your nervous system while engaging in the deep, purposeful work of clinical therapy.
The Walking Therapy Approach
Walk and talk therapy integrates the clinically informed practice of counselling with the somatic benefits of being in nature. By removing the constraints of a traditional office, we create a space where conversation can flow more naturally, supported by the rhythm of movement and the restorative presence of the Sydney harbour foreshore. This model is designed to assist emotional regulation, reduce stress, and provide a calm environment for deep, purposeful reflection.
